To me, Geology is the most fascinating of all sciences, encompassing the micro, from individual crystals that make up the fabric of sediments and rocks, to the macro, that builds mountains and shifts continents.

 

Geological processes operate over millennia to sculpt the world we see, but can also operate in cataclysmic events, changing the world in moments.
